INTRODUCTION
Generally, most decorative work pieces need to be grinding or polished procedure before electroplating. The polishing paste (or wax) used in the polishing process are usually alkaline degreasing fluids, which are difficult to be completely cleaned. The degreasing-dewaxing fluid is a specially designed for this purpose. It is a neutral active solution composed of a variety of ionic and non-ionic surfactant, which has excellent wetting and permeability, also produce chemical action with polishing paste. The wax scale on the surface and the deep concave of the work piece is quickly peeled off in a very short time. In addition, the emulsion is formed to disperse into the degreasing-dewaxing agent, so as to prevent the wax scale stick on the surface of the work piece.
The product has good water solubility and washability. It can not only replace organic solvent for degreasing (such as gasoline, trichloroethylene, etc), but also avoid the toxicity of the organic solvent and flammability. It is suited to paraffin removal of various metals, include zinc alloy, copper and its alloys, aluminum and its alloys, stainless steel with different structures, precious metal products and steel. The surface finish of the work piece can be maintained, also show a hydrophobic film on the work piece surface after processing, so that the product has a certain self-protection function.
