RC-ATC Stripping Agent for Silver Protective Film

INTRODUCTION

In order to anti-tarnish and strengthen the corrosion resistance of silver, copper, gold and other coating surfaces, stripping agents are often used to form a single molecular protective film on the surface. However, when the product is pitted and needs to be redone, the film is difficult to remove. This product is specially developed for this type of protective film. It can easily remove the film and form a hydrophilic surface by soaking. After rinsing, it can be directly re-plating or re-do the anti-tarnish process. In addition, this product also has a good effect on yellowing.

SOLUTION MAINTENANCE

When the solution performance is reduced, it can be replenished appropriately, and the service life of the solution depends on the removal of the film. It can also be controlled by analyzing the acid point, the acid point is controlled between 1.5-3.

Increasing concentration and temperature or prolonging immersion time can improve bath performance. For every 0.1 decrease in acid point, 6 ml/l of stripping agent for silver protective film is required.

ANALYSIS

1. Pipette a 5 ml sample into a 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask.

2. Add 50 ml of pure water.

3. Add 3-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.

4. Titration with 0.1 mol/l standard NaOH solution from colorless to light red end point.

Record the volume of NaOH standard solution consumed.

Calculation: acid point = M1 x V1 / M2 x n
