INTRODUCTION

The treatment of a complex workpiece is more advantageous.
The solution is stable and easy to control.
Low operating temperature.
It is especially suitable for the general plastic pretreatment process. A thin layer of nickel is deposited on the palladium coating to prepare the subsequent electroplating process.
EQUIPMENTS
Tank: polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, preferably no overflow.
Temperature control: glass or PTEE - coated electric pen, preferably water bath.
Agitation: air agitating and mechanical reciprocating agitate. Air for agitating should be supplied by a low pressure non-oil pump.
Filtration: only non-metallic filter pumps can be used. The filter pump requires high temperature resistance, and can continuously filter the solution for 2-3 times in an hour. The holes of the filter core or bag cannot be greater than 5 mm. After the solution is used every day, it needs to be pumped into another tank by a filter pump, and then clean the tank with a dilute nitric acid solution.
THE REPLENISHMENT OF ADDITIVES
It can be added according to the analysis data of nickel.
The standard nickel content is 4.0 g/l. To increase the nickel content by 1 g/l, 9.1 ml/l of RC-602A; 12.7 ml/l of RC-602B and 2.0 ml/l of RC-602C should be added to replenish the corresponding component consumed.
It can be added according to the thickness of deposited nickel coating.

Note: the above consumption is based on the deposition of 0.5μm thick coating. If the deposition time is different, the consumption should be adjusted accordingly.
SOLUTION MAINTENANCE
Compositions should be analyzed periodically.
0.5 ml/l of HN-ENW electroless stabilizer for nickel can be added when necessary.
MATTERS NEEDING ATTENTION
Ensure that the tank is thoroughly cleaned before use.
The solution temperature should be maintained at 35-45, low temperature leads to slow plating rate, and high temperature leads to bath decomposition.
Adjust pH value with ammonia and sulfuric acid (20%), keep pH value between 8.5 to 9.2 to ensure plating rate. Low plating rate caused by low pH, and the easily decomposed bath caused by high pH. So a pH meter is required.
Avoid bringing heavy metal impurities and surfactants into the bath.
