RC-M92 Semi-Bright Nickel Plating

INTRODUCTION

• RC-M92 semi-bright nickel plating process is designed for the workpiece with high requirements for corrosion resistance performance, which is the bottom layer of semi-bright nickel in electroplating of double-layer nickel or multi-layer nickel system.

• The sulfur content of the coating is less than 0.003%, the potential difference between the semi-bright nickel layer and the bright nickel layer could reach 120-145mv, a good corrosion resistance.

• The coating has good softness, strong covering power, well levelled.

• High concentration of brightener, low consumption.

• Do not contain coumarin, less decomposition products, the bath is stable and easy to maintain. As well as reduce the cost of wastewater and activated treatment.

EQUIPMENT

Tank: plastic lined steel or plastic.

Filtration: the filter pump is able to filter the solution at least four times every hour. Add 0.6 g/l active carbon every 40 hours to gain a better effect.

ROLE OF ADDITIVES AND REPLENISHMENT

Softener RC-M91: it is for improving the softness of coating, decreasing the internal stress of coating, and promoting covering power of the bath.

Leveller RC-M92: it increases the brightness and levelling of the coating. The brightness and levelling degree of the coating decrease when lack of RC-M92, and serious excess will lead to high stress and poor covering power.

Stabilizer RC-M93: it stabilizes the potential difference between semi-bright nickel and bright nickel coating, and improves the corrosion resistance of the coating.

Notice: Do not add wetting agent or liquid de-contaminant into semi-bright nickel solution to avoid the decrease of corrosion resistance due to the increase of sulfur content in the coating. The bath should be electrolyzed at low current regularly to remove copper and zinc impurities.

CONSUMPTION OF ADDITIVES

Softener RC-M91: 40-60 ml/KAH

Leveller RC-M92: 100-150 ml/KAH

Stabilizer RC-M93: 30-50 ml/KAH

Softener RC-M91 is a colorless or light yellow liquid with plastic barrel packaging. The longer time is, the deeper the color will be. The packaging specification is 25 kg/pcs.

Leveller RC-M92 is a colorless or light yellow liquid with plastic barrel packaging. The longer time is, the deeper the color will be. The packaging specification is 25 kg/pcs.

Stabilizer RC-M93 is a colorless liquid with plastic barrel packaging. The packaging specification is 25 kg/pcs.
